Scholastics Art Student Submissions

Donation protected
My students are INCREDIBLY talented and I want to be able to offer them the opportunity to participate in the most prestigious art competition in the country, National Scholastics Art and Writing Awards.

Submission costs this year are $7 per entry. Students are allowed to submit up to 12 pieces each. I have 318 students this year. If just a third of them wanted to submit one piece each, that would be a total of $742.00. Several of my devoted art club students aim high and plan to submit the maximum allotment. Several others want to go for at least 3-5 pieces of high-quality award-worthy artwork.

In the past, I have paid out of pocket for my students to enter this contest because it is SO worth the time (and money), BUT ... One of my personal goals this year is to stop spending so much of my own money on my students ... AAAND one of my professional goals is to submit the most entries possible so that my students receive the praise and recognition they deserve ... So, here we are ... I am reaching out to you! The community! My friends and family, fellow artists, art supporters, activists, advocates!

Each $20 donation will allow for almost three entries. Artists who win awards in this competition get thousands of dollars in scholarships for college, free rides to art camps across the country, their work on display at Carnegie Hall ... This is seriously the best opportunity for young artists in the U.S.

You guys know I work hard for my kids. Not only would it mean a TON to me if you pitched in to support them, but it could also change the trajectory of their creative lives.

***I am even offering an art club gift/ visit to any contributor who is able to donate $100 or more. These artists will mural or face paint or mosaic or banner anything you request!***
