The Giving Bowl Charitable Game

In 2017, "CJ" Matthews was granted a $500 Disney Be Inspired award by YSA (Youth Service America) in which he used to develop the 1st Annual "GIVING BOWL," a 7-on-7 charitable flag football game to provide healthy meals and warm blankets in his South Fulton community during the holidays.
CJ has always had a giving heart and he loves football so he wanted to combine the two; playing football and helping his community.
With the help of community partners including The 4LBU Foundation, Here 2 Help, Inc., The Square Church, Fulton County Parks and Recreation, and Publix Market East Point, the event continues to be a success, feeding at least 50 families each year for the holidays.
While we are uncertain whether or not we will host a game in 2020, we will continue to plan to feed families before the holidays and move forward with our 4th Annual Giving Bowl.
