Hello Everyone!
I am reaching out to you because I want to secure Just The Real News for all of us. This started out back in December 2018 with an idea. I secured JustTheRealNews.com late one evening and that was when things became real. My hat had been thrown into the ring. Over the next month, I researched how to do this. I found a tool that could make it work. I reached out for help and have met so many wonderful people who offered services and advice as contributions. I still have many hopes and dreams for this site, but many things need to be in place to make it happen.
I want to make Just The Real News V2.0!
First off, I have secured JTRN.US! I feel this is really a good way to go forward. It is shorter, so sharing will be easier and if I can do it correctly I will be able to have 50 individual subdomains, one per state! Here on JRTN.US, I will be able to have feeds for each of the State’s representatives. I feel this would be the best way to enable an even more in depth view of what our government is doing for us. If one day I am able to make this my job, I would like to dig deeper and add State level officials/offices (maybe JTRNv3.0)! I still work and attend online classes full time on top of this, so that would be a whole other level.
The MAJOR piece of the puzzle that will do the most for this goal is the unlimited and lifetime version of the plugin that MAKES JTRN work. This tool is responsible for almost every post you see. It is responsible for my marriage not being shattered to pieces. Right now I am paying $300/year for the full version of this tool. If I can raise $900 through this campaign, I will be able to buy the full version for an unlimited number of websites and will have access to it FOR LIFE. That alone will save me an exponential amount as time goes on. But, the more important part is that it will allow me to make STATE SPECIFIC sites where you can go to and see what individual FEDERAL representatives are doing and saying. While I am asking for a large MONETARY investment from you, realize how much of a TIME investment this will require from me. I am one man with a dream (and election year is coming up).
The second thing that I have included in this amount is to improve the Just The Real News mobile applications. I am asking for $500 in order to pay the one-time development cost to have a search tool made for within the app. So not only will you be able to save those releases you find relevant, you can search for ones you saw earlier that day and have a better chance to find them!
The last thing that I am requesting help with is a tool that will periodically check to make sure that the posts that are on JTRN are what is current on the .gov source pages. For unlimited websites and lifetime access, the tool costs ~$350. Right now the posts are snapshots of how it appeared when it was found. This tool will query the source page for any changes and update the post to reflect.
In total, I am asking for:

$500 In App Search Tool
$350 Post synchronizer
+ $250 GoFundMe Fees
$2000
If we get that far, a stretch goal would be to help me cover the virtual server that I am using which I have a strong feeling that I will need to upgrade. At the next tier up, it would be $660 for one year or $1440 for 3 years. I hope that we would be able to cover the amount for all of this including the 3 year purchase so that I won’t have to do these all the time.
