When I was a teenager I really wanted to be a pop star! My issue was always confidence. I grew up listening to some great singers with amazingly powerful voices that soared. My voice was always low and didn’t sound like the divas I loved or the great men of soul. I constantly measured myself against others and felt like I didn’t match up. My lack of faith and belief in myself meant I never followed my dream!
Fast forward to 3 years ago and to deal with changes in my personal life I started singing and people said they liked it. And then people actually started to want me to sing for them and their loved ones and they really enjoyed it.
Recently I have had requests for CDs after a couple of performances and it really got me thinking. Earlier this year I released my version of Autumn Leaves (on all good music platforms) and I would really love to follow this up with an album of great classics as well as unexpected re-workings!
Your support would mean that I could live this dream, bring a little joy to those who love to listen and hopefully inspire a few others to follow their dreams too.
All 'donations' will be gratefully received but what would you get for your support?
£20 - Signed copy of the CD
£75 - Signed copy of the CD + 'thank you credit' in CD artwork
£250 - One hour 'Dave Sings Swing' perform at an event of your choice (subject to availability) + copy of CD
£350 - Two hour 'Dave Sings Swing' perform at an event of your choice (subject to availability) + copy of CD
Any money donated would go toward studio cost including musicians and production, CD production and all promotions including video content and photography.
I'd really love to go back into the studio in January to begin working on the album so go ahead and make my Christmas. Your support would mean the world to me.
