Science and Flexible Seating for the Wizards!

We are raising money to purchase hands on science materials to help our Wizards grow as scientists. First grade students do not receive Science instruction in our school. It is up to us the teachers to create Science activities that are hands on and aligned with the state standards. 
As we continue the school year, we are hoping to buy new seating options for the Wizards to enhance their educational journey with flexible seating. Flexible seating helps provide students with an option of where they want to learn. With flexible seating, students can move about the room freely reinforcing a sense of classroom community. 
Finally we will be starting to expand our nonfiction library as we enter into our non-fiction reading and writing unit for the year. We will continue to look for nonfiction books that are appropriate for all the readers in our class.
