Merrier Christmas for the kids in my village

Donation protected
Hi, my birthday is coming up, and for this year, I want you guys to be a part of a great cause that we will be doing for the kids in my village in the Philippines as well as the less fortunate families around the area. We are flying home to spend Christmas and New Year with my family, and I can’t be more excited. This will be the first Christmas we will be spending with them. And with all the opportunities, abundance, and blessings that God has bestowed upon us, instead of having a party or get together for my birthday, I want to share it to those who needed it the most.

Christmas in the Philippines is pretty much a huge deal. In fact, lots of the people there started to put on their Christmas décor the moment the clock strikes midnight on the 1stof September. It signifies a lot of positive things. Joy, peace, hope, salvation, and for those who are underprivileged, it means MIRACLE & BLESSINGS. We were one of those underprivileged years ago. I can still vividly remember, wishing one Christmas morning that there will be one complete stranger that will just show up and just give some gifts to my younger sisters because our grandparents was even struggling to make ends meet and I was only 11. Also, it will possibly lighten up my Nanay’s load. I caught her crying in the middle of Christmas Eve night, and I asked her why. She wished to give us presents for Christmas but we could even barely have food the next day. When most of the people around the globe have plenty of leaf overs to throw, my Nanay was puzzled where to get our next meal, even on Christmas morning. Up to this day, our past situation is still common in my province. There is still awful lot of kids and families who doesn’t even feel the joy of Christmas spirit. Although the present circumstances there has improved overall, there are still kids that won’t be getting any this Christmas and parents who wished they could have something to give for their children. So I want to be the person I wished I had when I was younger. Now that God has blessed me and my family and took us out from that deprived situation, I want to give back. This is not our first time to do this. As much we have the chance, we organized something for the kids and kids at heart in our village. But this time, we want to make it bigger and you are a part of this cause. So here’s the plan:

We wanted to knock in your generous and kind heart with any amount you can spare and donate to help us this cause.

Me and my husband will match the first $250 doubling the budget!

Here’s what we will use the money for.

1.    We will be giving gifts to at least 50 kids in our village.
2.     We will be packing a “Noche Buena Meal Package” (Noche Buena means “good night” but in the Philippines, it is a steeped in cultural and religious significance. It is the feast enjoyed by families after hearing the midnight mass to welcome Christmas Day) and give it randomly to 15 less fortunate families around the area.
3.    We will be having parlor games for the young ones and the young once with exciting prices.

This will work just fine with a budget around $450-$500. In case you guys feels so generous and we end up a significant amount more than we needed, we will donate part of the extra to the elementary school in my town and part of it to the feeding program our friend conducted in the city.

We are accepting your donations until December 15, 2019.

We will start giving away the Noche Buena Package second week of December and the gift giving and parlor games will be determine once we get there and have the grasp of the situation. But most likely, before Christmas day.

After the events, I will be posting pictures and maybe videos on the update so you will know where your donation went. I will be forever grateful if you can help us with this cause. No amount is too big or small. You will make my birthday happier and the Christmas of the kids and less fortunate families in my village merrier. God bless you all.
