We've all been there... that really uncomfortable (and sometimes awkward) position of not knowing where we stand in a friendship. What happens when feelings deeper than just friendship rise to the surface?
UNC School of the Arts MFA graduate & screenwriter Aja Cooper came up with the idea of "Prose," using creative literary and social elements to craft a unique take on the modern-day "situationship."
How will the funds be used?
Every penny of your financial contribution to the film will certainly be used. Here's a look at where the funds will go:
- Props & Equipment: 60%
- Craft Services: 15%
- Actors' Compensation: 10%
- Film Festivals & Promotion: 10%
- Misc. & Emergency Funds: 5%

One thing we're proud of about this film is our creative team is comprised of all minority filmmakers. From our director Kevin Wilson, to screenwriter Aja Cooper, to our producers and director of photography, we're changing the game, one film at a time.
We're also proud to shoot the film right at home in Greensboro, North Carolina, creating new opportunities for creative individuals to express their talents and gain valuable industry experience.

About the Director: Kevin Wilson
Kevin Wilson is a 22 year old director and graduate from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.A in Media Studies. He has experience directing award-winning short films, music videos, and promotional content.
About the Writer: Aja Cooper
Aja Cooper is a Jacksonville, NC native with a powerful and unique voice that thrives in the telling of family dramas and love stories. She strives to be a modern day griot whose words are materialized on-screen, all while highlighting faith and dismantling the stereotypes often associated with the African American community. Aja received a Bachelor of Arts in English from UNC Greensboro and a Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from the UNC School of the Arts. Aja is the writer of many projects, including an award winning virtual reality screenplay entitled SLAM (a screenplay infusing slam poetry with the world of virtual reality). Aja also performed in the virtual reality production of SLAM, directed by Gary Tieche (NEVADA, PREACHER).
