"The River"- A Short Film by Logan Craine
Donation protected
This semester, I am directing a film, currently titled "The River", to fulfill my degree in digital cinema from John Brown University. The film is a period piece, set at the turn of the 20th century in rural Arkansas. A troubled man named Henry Edwards runs away from his home and family after the tragic death of his mother. He sets off on a journey down an unforgiving river, where he has to fight for his survival. We will be shooting my film September through October. Arkansas has been such an inspiring place for me, and I hope to shoot my film in many of the beautiful areas of the Northwest Arkansas/Northeast Oklahoma area. In order to successfully execute my vision in a well-developed period piece, I will need as much of a budget as I can get. This budget will largely go to production design, as well as food, gas, and equipment. Having a budget helps me treat my actors and crew well, and helps us have a well-equipped and successful set. Even just $5-10 can go a long way in covering food and gas expenses. If you cannot donate, you can still help us out a bunch by sharing with others! If you have a business and want to sponsor the film by providing food or other resources, contact me and I would love to work with you! If you wish to be an actor or an extra in the film, contact me about casting! If you do want to donate, here are some incentives: $1-49: Special thanks in the credits! $50-99: Special thanks in the credits, private digital copy $100-499: Listed as producer in the credits, private digital copy, signed movie poster by main cast and crew $500+: listed as executive producer in the credits, private digital copy, signed movie poster by main cast and crew, and have your own cameo spot in the film! Whether you are able to donate or not, you are all invited to the premiere at JBU in December! Date TBD.
