Food Trucks for the Less Fortunate

Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to check out our GoFundMe page! Let me tell you about what we are doing, and how your donation will positively impact Austin families and individuals in need, as well as supporting small, local businesses:
The Rainey Street Food Trucks have been a cultural staple in Austin for around 10 years now. All of the food trucks are owned and operated by small business owners, who are struggling to stay open and keep employees due to the circumstances created by the Covid-19 virus. Your donation will not only help small, local businesses, but will also help 180-200 Austinites currently suffering from homelessness, and living at the state-funded camp at 183 & Montopolis, known as Camp R.A.T.T. (Responsible Adult Transition Town). While the state provides three (3) meals a day for 150 people at the camp (which is awesome!), they do run out of food at times, and the meals are not "hot meals," they are military grade, dry prepackaged meals.Camp RATT Official Website
100% of the funds donated (minus GoFundMe's small fee) will be used to pay the food trucks to make hot meals for Camp R.A.T.T. The food trucks will be taking turns to make and deliver hot meals to the camp about once per week (of course, the more money we raise, the more frequently we can bring food, so this estimate may go up, or down). For every $400 - $500 raised, this fund will be able to pay one food truck to create 180-200 hot meals for the individuals and families living at Camp R.A.T.T.
We are hoping to raise enough money for each food truck to make and deliver meals three times over the next few months. Our first delivery will be on Thursday, May 14th, and we are hoping to be able to deliver hot meals at least once per week, again rotating the food trucks. The sooner we receive the money, the faster we can pay the food trucks, and feed the people in need.
