TEAAPI NEEDS A CAR TO HELP SICK CHILDREN IN UGANDA

The Everett and Austin Project, Inc (TEAAPI) has been serving sick and disabled children in Africa for some time now. We have been partnering with several like-minded, local charities in Uganda in Eastern Africa, such as Sapphire Foundation.

We kindly ask you to help us purchase a car that will enable us to reach our goal of helping kids with rare diseases, such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Families have been hit hard by poverty, especially during this COVID-19 crisis. The effects of COVID-19 on the economy in the third world are exponentially worse than in the first world.

For more than 2 years we have been in Uganda with the support of our sister organizations. We have gone to the remotest villages, and we have dealt with very severe and desperate cases. We have seen that our efforts are making a difference, and quality of life is improving for many people.

Doing this work without a car has not only made our work difficult, but it has also made it very expense to serve by causing us to have to rent a car so many times when there is an emergency. We want to be able to reach them in the most effective way so that we can possibly help save a life.

We also believe that if we get a private car, we shall be able to reach places that have been out of reach for us so far. In this we shall help more people in places far away, more often and more readily. We have learned that some of the sick and dying children that we wanted to help in remote areas have died before we could raise funds to be able to go out and take care of them. Having a vehicle dedicated for service of the less fortunate will help us reach emergency cases faster and more conveniently, with very little expense.

We kindly ask you to help us with even the smallest amount of support that you are able to, so that you can help us reach the goal of serving and loving people in the most Christ-like way. In doing this you will be a part of helping and being a saving hand for suffering children in Africa. Be a part of our humble story. Thank you so much.
