Red Dot Studio initially opened doors with one goal, creativity. Red Dot Studio’s previous space was a mere 1600 sq ft which consisted of one large room. Despite the lack of architectural dynamic- through that one room, Red Dot Studio hosted community classes and became a reliable creative hub for organizations like Extraction Dance Theater (a non-profit youth & young adult company that educates and prepares dancers for higher education and a professional career), and other creatives such as, theater productions, film classes, auditions, gala's, organization meetings, art galleries, shows, and much more.

However, Red Dot Studio’s potential was suppressed by various factors such as sound control, area coding, size which affected space capacity, and parking. Ultimately, Red Dot Studio’s leasing contract at that location came to an end, as an agreeable renewal could not be negotiated due to the suppressing factors. As we made the move towards our new location, the world was hit with a complete shut down due to Covid-19, along with the owner being involved in a car accident, hindering him from working, which resulted in the business' finances being affected in a major way.

Even though it would be easier to step away from this venture at this time, Genesis, as the owner, and the rest of the RDS team refuse to run! So we are asking for the help and support from the creatives all around the world to help save Red Dot Studio.

Dancers, Artists, Singers, Videographers, Photographers, Fitness gurus, Social media heads, and every branch of the arts that views the Creative HQ as a home, will be treated accordingly; like family.

Red Dot Studio’s multifunctional space will be further enveloped as a; Production Studio, Art Gallery /showroom (ideal for pop-up shops), a BlackBox theater, and professional Rehearsal space with additional lighting and sound accessibility for creatives.


As for professionals, entrepreneurs, businessmen, and women Red Dot Studio will provide resources from desks to offices or even an entire HQ. As well as an established environment of resourcefulness that increases productivity, innovation, collaboration, and promotes excellence.

In parallel correlation to Red Dot Studio’s success, one of the greatest objectives for Red Dot Studio’s Founder and CEO is, contribution. Genesis aims to host open classes for the youth and young adults in each area of artistry offering both scholarship and paid programs. In addition to forming a partnership with every Family shelter in Miami Dade And Broward to offer a variety of on-going or pop up field trips for the children living in these shelters- as Genesis and his siblings faced the same childhood and grew up in a shelter where fortunately the arts offered him and his family a safe, creative, outlet which ultimately shaped their passions, ambitions, careers, and rest of their lives. To which of course, Genesis has set as a high priority to grasp the opportunities brought to him and bestow them upon children that have faced and are facing hardship.

Red Dot Studio ensued after working years for recital and recreational dance studios as a rental space provider. When asked about the experience, Genesis said, ”As a dancer, I wasn't able to train like I wanted to because most classes were focused on an end of the year production. This meant that a class wasn't class it was a rehearsal, only gaining movement instead of the necessary technique that coincides with it. So after living in New York and visiting LA, I wanted to create a place that would not only host open classes for the community of dance but other forms of performance and visual arts as well. But something else was missing from south Florida... Rehearsal space, Rental space, Affordable space, space Available 24/7. As a choreographer myself, i speak for many when i say we are limited to space availability being that most studios are limited because of the recital based classes.” With Red Dot Studio, this will all change.

Stage build-out with equipment and seating storage built-in. $5,000

Sound equipment, speakers, subs, microphones, wires, house drum set $30,250

Flooring for all three rooms $10,576

Dressing room/restrooms with mirrors, flooring, lighting, and storage. $2,000

Production and business operation equipment & software $6,500

Seating: comfortable folding chairs and cabaret tables $2,000

Soundproofing and sound design $19,800

Labor for installing all of the above $8,000

Dance Studio Equipment ( Barres and portable mirrors & Platforms, Lockers ) $10,275

TOTAL: $105,100

As stated above, the total budget is greater than what is required for the development. Our goal of  $77,700 is conservative. However, with this amount, we will ensure that Red Dot Studio will stand at the pinnacle for creative space and community.

We have an interwoven network of talented technicians, makers, and enthusiastic volunteers. We are using copious amounts of recycled materials for soundproofing, refurbishing used equipment, and basing our purchases with “economic” set as the priority. With that being said, building this Creative Space is no small feat.

We are confident that with your assistance and contribution, we will be more than successful in delivering a much-needed quality space. Let us provide all our amazing artists and makers in our city and beyond- a long overdue facility, they deserve.
