Daft Brewing's Hand Sanitizer Production

For the past 2 months, Daft Brewing in Kingston Ontario has been working diligently to produce hand sanitizer that is donated to front-line workers, hospitals, long term care homes, groups that deal with at-risk populations and small businesses when possible. This work has been highlighted by the Whig, Queens School of Graduate Studies and featured in Queens Alumni.
We have been floored by the immediate and generous support from other local businesses and individuals who donated precious materials, time and expertise. To help pay back that kindness, all of the hand sanitizer produced at Daft, over 1,700 L, has been donated for free to people and businesses in need.
Our donations have gone directly to hospitals, first responders (police, fire, medical, etc.), small businesses, correctional facilities, care facilities, etc.
However, we are at a crossroads. To continue manufacturing hand sanitizer and to extend the network of people we distribute to - we need to raise money.
With your donation, we aim to do the following:
1) Continue to produce hand sanitizer that meets the WHO standard.
2) Distribute not only to people in medical/front-line positions, but expand to a larger group of businesses and individuals.
3) Keep donating! We believe that in this time of need we owe it to the community and Kingston-at-large to continue donating this essential product free-of-charge.
Your donation would go directly and exclusively to funding our hand sanitizer work. The funds you donate will go to:
- Purchasing materials/ingredients (such as isopropyl alcohol)
- Bottles/labels for distribution
- Any additional funds will be donated to local charities.
Lastly, we aim to keep this as transparent as possible and will work to provide the public with a detailed breakdown of our production, what industries benefited from our hand sanitizer, volumes produces and allocation of donated funds.
