Help us prevent losing another life during COVID19

With isolation and social distancing, people are feeling numbed, detached, removed from it all, as if nothing matters. Some don't sleep well, and others are spending much of their time alone without having any social contact with another human being.

We believe that someone left alone with their fears, and their thoughts, are in danger of slowly falling into a darker place. We don't want anyone to reach that level of depression where the thought of suicide arises. 

When the COVID-19 stay at home mandates began around the world, we knew that everyone would be affected somehow, and we had to do something to help.
Our goal is to reach people early enough, where a human connection is enough to prevent them from drowning in their darkness. 

We contacted everyone we know and asked "if you could help one person with a simple attentive conversation once a week, would you do it?" Almost all said absolutely! 

We gathered a group of fabulous volunteers and began connecting them with anyone feeling slightly lonely, confused, or fearful with a volunteer friend. 

And that's how our GLOBAL community began. Friends volunteering their time to hold an exclusive space for anyone needing to be heard and acknowledged where they are, in total respect for their values and beliefs. 

All our volunteers go through an orientation training, and we continue group gathering for further human development. 

One person is connected with one person, matched by region and language first and by hobbies and interests second. 

Statement of Beliefs: 

✩ We believe in intervening early in a person's struggle before they get to a place where they feel helpless and isolated.

✩ We believe that everyone has the innate capability to help another human through loving, caring, and nurturing communication.

✩ We believe that loving and nurturing each other is the most powerful force that can change the world.

✩ We believe that protecting emotional health is essential right now and is the responsibility and privilege of all humans. 

✩ We believe in raising people to their full potential through a friendship based on compassion.

✩ We believe that human companionship is innate; that by connecting friend to friend, we are returning to the essence of what it means to be human.

✩ We believe that through this initiative, we are helping others to change their narrative.

All proceeds raised will go towards
1. The legal process for becoming a registered nonprofit organization
2. Multilingual Website design and administration costs
3. Translations for documentation and training for all volunteers
4. Global - Local presence operations

Con el aislamiento y el distanciamiento social, las personas se sienten insensibles, indiferentes, alejadas de todo, como si nada importara. Algunos no duermen bien y otros pasan gran parte de su tiempo solos sin tener ningún contacto social con otro ser humano.
 
Creemos que alguien que se queda solo con sus miedos y sus pensamientos corre el peligro de caer lentamente en un lugar más oscuro. No queremos que nadie alcance ese nivel de depresión en el que surge la idea del suicidio.
 
Cuando comenzaron los mandatos de cuarentena COVID-19 en todo el mundo, sabíamos que todos se verían afectados de alguna manera y teníamos que hacer algo para ayudar.
Nuestro objetivo es llegar a las personas lo suficientemente temprano, donde una conexión humana sea suficiente para evitar que se ahoguen en su oscuridad.
 
Nos pusimos en contacto con todos los que conocemos y les preguntamos "si pudiera ayudar a una persona con una simple conversación de corazón una vez a la semana, ¿lo haría?" ¡Casi todos dijeron, SI!
 
Reunimos a un grupo de voluntarios fabulosos y comenzamos a conectarlos con personas que se sintiera un poco solas, confundidos o temerosos.
 
Y así comenzó nuestra comunidad GLOBAL. Amigos que ofrecen voluntariamente su tiempo para darle un espacio exclusivo a cualquier persona que necesite ser escuchada en el lugar donde se encuentra, con total respeto por sus valores y creencias.
 
Todos nuestros voluntarios pasan por una capacitación de orientación y continuamos reuniéndonos en grupo para un mayor desarrollo humano.
 
Una persona está conectada con una persona, primero por región e idioma y luego por pasatiempos e intereses.
 
Declaración de creencias:
 
✩ Creemos en intervenir temprano en la lucha de una persona antes de que llegue a un lugar donde se sienta impotente y aislada.
 
✩ Creemos que todo el mundo tiene la capacidad innata de ayudar a otro ser humano a través de una comunicación amorosa, cariñosa y enriquecedora.
 
✩ Creemos que amarnos y cuidarnos mutuamente es la fuerza más poderosa que puede cambiar el mundo.

✩ Creemos en elevar a las personas a su máximo potencial a través de una amistad basada en la compasión.
 
✩ Creemos que el compañerismo humano es innato; que, al conectar un amigo a otro, estamos volviendo a la esencia de lo que significa ser humano.
 
✩ Creemos que, a través de esta iniciativa, estamos ayudando a otros a cambiar su narrativa.
 
Todos los ingresos recaudados se destinarán a
1.     El proceso legal para convertirse en una organización sin fines de lucro registrada
2.     Desarrollar aplicación móvil que agilice la conexión de personas, lo cual hará que lleguemos a más personas y en tiempo real que se necesite la ayuda.
3.     Costos de administración y diseño de sitios web multilingües
4.     Traducciones para documentación y formación para todos los voluntarios
5.     Global: establecer operaciones de presencia local o regional en los países o regiones donde tenemos voluntarios.
