Black Lives Matter Triathlon Initiative

This fundraising initiative has been created to help make a difference for the Black community in the sport of triathlon. As you are aware, triathlon is not a very diverse sport and we want to be a part of shifting that reality. It is time to take our social media activism and turn it into tangible change. Since triathlon is the community we live in, that is where we feel we can use our platform for positive change.
At the end of the fundraiser, all funding will be split evenly and will be donated to the following causes:
Delaware State University's NCAA Triathlon Team
Delaware State is one of the first Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to start an NCAA triathlon team for women.

Hampton University's NCAA Triathlon Team
Hampton was the very first Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to start an NCAA triathlon team for women.

International Association of Black Triathletes
The only International African American and Women owned non-profit charitable organization in the multisport industry. Their efforts serve as a pipeline of opportunity for all including adults, but especially black youth and those living in urban communities. Their goals remain to educate and to increase participation in the sport as well as provide opportunities to work in the multisport industry. The multisport industry has untapped possibilities for black youth and those living in urban communities.
