Knee Surgery for Castle
This is Castle. This sweet, gentle, 15 month old Golden Retriever has damaged and torn both of his anterior cruciate ligaments (1 full tear, 1 partial tear). He needs surgery to repair both ligaments in his knees so he can live his best life and thrive going forward. He's a young dog and he has tons of life left to live!
Unfortunately, Castle's loving family was not able to afford either surgery, let alone both, and Castle was relinquished to C&K Critters, a local rescue organization in Northern Ontario.
We're here now asking for donations towards Castle's surgery costs. His day-to-day care, initial vet assessment, and rehabilitation costs have been covered by rescue savings, but two large scale orthopedic surgeries will wipe out us completely (with 15+ other pets still in care with C&K Critters who need food, enrichment, vetting, and day-to-day care too). We're turning to all of you for a little help.
The rescue is aiming to raise 6500$ CDN to offset surgery costs and we've already got 1000$ in the first few days of fundraising (and we're all thrilled).
Any amount helps, 50$, 20$, 10$.
Castle's surgery is scheduled for the last week in June. The vet has deemed him stable and come up with a medical management plan until then.
We wish we could bring Castle to meet every person who's seen his photo online -- every single one of you would fall in love with him. He's vibrant and joyful and he brings smiles to everyone. Yes, he likes to jump up, and yes, he silly when he's on leash, but the outright good-nature of this doggy cannot be overstated. He's a 100%, tried and true Good Boy.
Thank you so much to everyone <3
