Support NYC Action Lab in Louisville, KY!

My name is Carlene Pinto. I am a lifelong organizer in NYC and founder of NYC Action Lab Inc. For more than a decade, I have worked to provide justice to families who have lost children to law enforcement, formerly incarcerated individuals, and exploited undocumented immigrants. The murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor aren’t anything new to New Yorkers. What is new, is our ability to mobilize resources and support the frontline.

We believe in the power of New Yorkers to support our fellow organizers and comrades in Louisville, KY, Illinois, Wisconsin and beyond.

Justice delayed is justice denied. It’s been over 170 days since the murder of #BreonnaTaylor and the three cops: Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Jankison, and Myles Cosgrove, responsible for her death are yet to be charged and prosecuted for their actions. The demands from the family of Breonna, Black leadership on the ground and organizers from across the community are clear --Attorney General Daniel Cameron should charge the cops and hold them accountable.

This is why we are committed to ongoing organizing and building in Louisville, KY.

NYC Action Lab has spent the last 12 weeks supporting the work of local Louisville organizers on the ground who have been working tirelessly to get justice for Breonna. We've supported massive actions and even been arrested standing our ground demanding justice from Louisville Metro Police Departmenr (LMPD). Our goal is to bring support and supplies to Louisville.  We believe in empowering Louisville Organizers by supporting their work in a sustainable way. We must hold the line on police brutality there.
