Donations for Bukit Bail Fund

UPDATE: A lot of people have sent me donations through Venmo and Cashapp as well as donating to this GoFundMe. With everything added up, we raised about $1200 + 50% match = $1800. That is well beyond our goal! Thank you to everybody who shared and donated and tuned into the livestream! I am waiting for a few final donations to announce the final amount we will be sending to the Bukit Bail Fund, but once those donations come in, I will share the results with everybody.
I am collecting and matching donations for The Bukit Bail Fund Of Pittsburgh. The Bukit Bail Fund provides bail for non-violent offenders (i.e. peaceful protestors) and supports them after their release. 81% of those incarcerated in the Allegheny County Jail have not been convicted of a crime. Cash bails allow the criminal justice system to lock people up simply because they are poor. For every donation made today, I will be matching it at 50% (up to $500)!
Tonight, from 8:30pm to 10:30pm, I will be hosting a livestream concert to raise awareness of this fundraiser and the Bukit Bail Fund. The livestream will take place on my Youtube channel. Stay tuned for a link
Besides donating to this GoFundMe, you can Venmo me (@pickpatek) or Cashapp me ($pickpatek), or, if you feel more comfortable donating directly to the Bukit Bail Fund but you still want your donation matched, dm me a screenshot of your donation!
The reason this GoFundMe is not set up to send money directly to the Bukit Bail Fund is because the organization does not have an EIN. The Bukit Bail Fund's fiscal sponsor, Alliance for Global Justice is their "parent non-profit" so to speak, but money donated to them does not directly go to the Bukit Bail Fund. To make sure the money goes to the Bukit Bail Fund, I will collect all the money from this fundraiser at the end of the day and donate it to the bail fund through their website.
