The Real Stories Project is something which was born on www.thecandidcupcake.com . A platform I used to write honestly about my varied battles with mental illness, addiction and trauma. I
have since opened this up to anyone out there who wants to be heard, understood and to help others like I did by sharing their story with the world. Some people are writing their own work and others, like to contribute via my writing for them.
The website has therefore become a mission to encourage creative, theraputic writing and story telling, benefitting both the contributors and the readers.
I have been approached by people who wanted to make a donation towards the project and as it is not an official charity, this was the best idea I could think of for anyone who wanted to give a couple of quid to help me with the running costs as it's there for everyone to see how much is needed and how much has been received.
The website, designed and hosted via Wordpress, costs £50 per year at the moment and has been running since February 2019.
This total of £150, if reached, will therefore cover the costs until January 2022.
