Stay Alive: be safe and social distance during this pandemic
Stay Aware: learn about the different organizations in Buffalo that are designed to help those in the black community
Stay Woke: Sign petitions, go to protest, donate to black businesses, correct those who are wrong. 

The black lives matter movement has brought attention to the many problems in Buffalo's government and throughout it's communities. We encourage everyone to get involved and we want our neighbors to know of all the organizations that are here to help.

We've created this GoFundMe to help with the cost of food and pandemic materials that will be given away to those in need at this event. We plan to help as many people as possible but all additional funds will be used to help support different organizations. 

The event itself is a part of an 8 day event called "Be A Part of the Movement... Not the Moment". Each day will consist of an event to support the BLM movement or the black community in Buffalo.

July 11th, 12:00-2:30

Two part community event: supplying materials to help get through this pandemic while also learning about local organizations whose goals are to help the black community in Buffalo. 

- The first location (Calvary Baptist Church) will have information about the organizations: who they are, how they can help and what you can do to help them. There will also be food and grab and go bags with essentials needed for the pandemic. 

- The second location (TBD) will be a drive through for grab and go bags filled with essential items for the pandemic.

Who are we:

This event is organized by Shop The 716, which is a website designed to promote local businesses in the community. As a long time Buffalo resident, Jewell Eason and her team have witnessed first hand how much work organizations have done to help Buffalo. There is still more work that needs to be done, so we are doing what we can to help.
