El Paso Fighting Covid-3D Printing PPE
Donation protected
In light of the shortages of Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) for frontline workers, we have been working on face shields and a protective mask that incorporates a changeable air filter all printed with 3D printers. The 3D printed part can be sanitized and rewashed. This kind of mask require a filter which can be made by cutting up a single mask into 6 pieces in an Emergency / Shortage. According the CDC guideline, when no facemasks are available, HCP may use homemade masks to limit exposure of the Covid-19 virus.
We are donating our time and materials to 3D print the ear savers, face shields, and filter masks, but can't fund this project on our own as the demand increases. We really need your help with funding. We are also hoping others with 3D printers can join in and make as many PPE masks as possible. All funding will be used to buy the 3D print filament, accessories for the masks, and PETG materials for the face shields. All the masks, face shields, and ear savers that we make will be donated to the local frontline workers without any masks in our area.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
