WarPaint Project Shipping and Materials

This experience has changed my life. The first painting was much like the 20 years of painting that preceeded it, painting for my best friend whose close family member had been diagnosed with cancer that evening. I painted her an elephant, posted it on Facebook asking for prayers, and made sure to tag her so she could read the outpouring of support and love. Later that night I was asked for a painting by a woman whose son loved elephants, but she would have to wait until she could afford to buy it. I didn't have any canvas and my paint was very old, so we agreed another time. I then began to have this feeling like you get when you're behind someone at the store who doesn't have enough money and you want to help; this feeling like I was being asked by God to give this painting to her but that feeling would multiply into a an idea for a much larger group. I quickly posted online 'How many of my friends would like a free, custom designed, acrylic painting by nominatknh your loved one as Warrior in my project?' a dozen the first hour, thirty the first week. 50 in three months, and it goes on and on. Since February of 2019. 172 Nominations have been placed through the Warpaint Project Experience. Over 143 have been shipped. Almost every day a new nomination is sent. Each nomination is a Warrior of Cancer, Autism, Downs Sydrome, and other diagnosis. I tell their story of the day their cancer or condition was diagnosed and share every link and page. Then we design their painting together, slinging ideas and color palettes back and forth until their Warrior Painting tells a story. While painting, I will update my pages with any new updates from every Warrior ever nominated. We follow children fighting cancer, children dominating Autism, and celebrate every new announcement of clear scans. We've also lost fourteen Warriors along the way, and just as we say they will never grieve alone either. I've raised money for many and sent all of them gifts. Every Warrior passed is listed on the back of every painting, inspiring us from heaven, because as we say #warriorsneverdie This project is funded with my paycheck, bonuses, and fundraising. Anyone donating to us is also named on the back of every painting showing our Warriors the impact of sharing their experiences with the world. I hope to encourage our Warriors to be proud of their fight and speak out for powerful bravery. When the painting is completed, I ship it out to them, for free. I also add gifts inside that I've accumulated from nonprofit and other generous artist like Fab Fit Fun who gibes away Starter boxes, TenaciouslyTeal who gives Cancer Care Packs, Jaclyn Johnston who gives us journals, Liara with Warrior magnets, and more. All the gifts are placed inside the shipping box and sent off with large letters, 'Fragile, Artwork for a Warrior Inside" Once our Warriors receive their gifts they send back video and pictures with their paintings. But even almist a year after the painting, we still share all the updates and support each of them through whatever day they're having. We will be here always. Several new ways to celebrate Warriors have been added as Warrior kids are gifting other Warrior kids with items they send to go into the Giftbox. Olivia sends braided bracelets, Mia is gifting unicorn presents to other Warrior girls that love unicorns like her. In fact, all five of the Unicorn girls mothers have met and begun friendships We need your help to help continue this project. We are not a non-profit, just a small family with a big idea that we can have an impact on the people we paint for, the ones who fight for the life we all take so easily for granted. This project is expensive with paint, canvas, and shipping cross county. Each painting is made on gallery frame depth of 1.5" and as small as 20"x20" but we like creating large works like the five foot mermaid, the 5ft Lone Cypress and more. These gifts are an experience that start from the moment someone is nominated and it follows them forever. We need your help to continue giving the art away for free and shipping it for free. We appreciate every look at the web site, every like on our page, and every person who helps us. Thank you so much for the 116 people donating this last year. This is a gift that lasts a lifetime, we don't want to see it end. Thank you for your support. Aubre To help Aubre' - click donate here, or on her website- and then share. Then, visit her webpage and interact, share, like, comment, and encourage the Warriors that are tagged in Bio's, Painting Reveals, and Health updates.  We all want to do more, this is how.
