Grimes Sisters Murders Reward

Donation protected
On December 28, 1956, Barbara Grimes (15) and her sister Patricia Grimes (13) went to the Elvis Presley movie "Love Me Tender" at the Brighton Theater, 4211 Archer Ave, in the Brighton Park neighborhood and never came home.

They lived at 3634 S. Damen Avenue in the McKinley Park neighborhood of Chicago.  Their mother, Loretta Grimes, was a single mom who was raising seven children and died never knowing what happened to her girls.

They were found murdered on the north side of German Church Road just east of County Line Road on January 22, 1957.    63 years later this is still an unsolved double murder.

We have been researching this case for over 10 years now and new information comes in all the time.  We believe there are at least 3 persons still alive who know what happened that night.

They did not stay quiet all of these years.  They had to have told somebody about what happened. The family still needs answers and help from the public may be their only hope at closure.

Our goal is a reward of $10,000 but every dollar given increases the pressure on those with information or those trying to hide.

If the reward is unable to help close the case then the money will go to a scholarship in the name of the Girls to college-bound graduates of Thomas Kelly High School where Barbara was a sophomore at the time of her death.

We have a facebook page set up for those who want to learn more about the case and to date have over 1,700 members.   Members include family, friends, neighbors, classmates, and former and current law enforcement.

Help Solve Chicago's Grimes Sisters' Murders

I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have and will continue to come forward and for all those who are willing to donate time, money, and information to the cause.
