Sandi and Mambo could use your help!

Mambo and I have a new adventure for 2020! Staying with friends on occasion but mostly spending our night sleeping in my car.
I closed the drum studio brick and mortar because after 17 years that part of my life is over. I no longer want to be tethered to a studio that has no street visibility using outdated instruments and teaching people when I am not "pursuing my career of a full time musician".  It served a purpose for a solid decade, but once Guitar Center opened in Lakewood ranch February 2011, my visibility on the internet was wiped out with their high end SEO's. And then came all of the other pop up music schools around town, so instead of trying to spit in to the wind so to speak I decided to turn my musical sails towards my own musical path, again at age 39.

However, nothing can and will take away what The Drum Studio is. Which is me. I am The Drum Studio - School of Music. And will always be, my students are my calling card and I have hundreds of hours of video footage to show the growth that I made happen in Sarasota Fl. As well as a ton of students that are professional touring musicians. College graduates and amazing people. I was lucky to be able to do that for them, their family and my community.

Starting with being not only the first female owned music school in Sarasota, but also the main Instructor of several instruments, and bringing the rock band class/ rock school concept to Sarasota FL back in 2001. I am a trend setter. I am a multi Instrumentalist. I am a songwriter. I am an American Tourister. I am dedicated to the lifelong craft of music.
There isn't another school in this county or beyond that has all those credentials. Prove me wrong. lol.
Fast forward to 2020... over the last several years I intentionally let my students age out of my numerous proprietary programs over the last several years. With intent to use my studio as my creative space; to practice, write and record with the intention of being a full time traveling musician.
I purchased a trailer to build a rolling tiny home in August to go live my dreams and am about a third of the way done with it. But murphy's law, the law of averages, bad luck or just mere coincidence - all of my local area performances dried up. I've never stopped creating you tube content, writing songs or practicing. I continue to reach out to my fellow musicians and venues day after day. And still very little turns out in the form of work. Mostly  what does turn out is in the future booked several months ahead, so my income flow has dwindled to about 100 per week. So here I am, ready to rock, travel, live out my dreams but no where to live.
Since August, I have been using my savings to stay afloat. And now that is gone, basically at zero.  However I had 6 months cushion to get me through.

There is so much more to write, however I am looking towards the future and really am just trying to keep my health ins, car payment, car insurance, cell phone bill, and credit cards current. which is about 2000 a month.

I would love to make my own money again as Ive always done since I got kicked out at 21 years old. Ive never asked for help. Never. So, now I am. This is only for right now, I have a solid path mapped out for my future in music. I just need a bit of help here going through this sizeable dip in the road.

Basically what ever you can do to chip in would help. No amount is too big or small. And I will pay you back one day, somehow. I can guarantee you that. I wanna rock. I want to take care of mambo as well as possible during these times. If you read this all the way through, thank you. and see you out there!
