Physics Textbooks for Colombian Students

My name is Sebastián Murgueitio Ramírez, and I am launching this campaign in order to cover the cost of 75 physics textbooks for "Juntos Construyendo Futuro y Sociedad," a new Colombian charity that helps underprivileged students transition from high school to college (the students are from the town Fusagasugá, near Bogotá).

A couple of months ago, I recieved an email from Juntos Construyendo Futuro y Sociedad asking me to donate 75 copies of my physics textbook "Física Paso a Paso." In the book, I use multiple problems inspired by the Colombian culture, and I offer very detailed explanations so that even students with a little to no background in science can follow (more about the book here: http://sites.nd.edu/sebastian-murgueitio/acerca-del-libro/Â ).
I was very honored by the request, after all, I wrote the textbook to help Colombian students going from high school to college. So, I said that I was going to try to help raise the money to get the 75 books.
Even if I am the author, I do not have any discounts and 90% of the sells goes to the press (the press is Ediciones Uniandes). The printed version of the book costs $79 in Amazon, and this is the version they need because most of their students will not have laptops or smartphones. So, I need to raise $ 5925 that corresponds to the cost of the 75 books in Amazon.
After the press pays my corresponding 10%, I will donate that money to the same organization in order to help pay the costs of the food and transportation for the teachers.
The classes start in the second week of February, so we have about a month to get the books!

Mi nombre es Sebastián Murgueitio Ramírez, y estoy creando esta campaña para cubrir los costos de 75 libros de física para donar a la fundación Juntos Construyendo Futuro y Sociedad. Esta es una fundación nueva que ayuda a los estudiantes de bajos recursos pasar del colegio a la universidad (son estudiantes de Fusagasugá).
(La organización está registrada en la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá con el NIT 901345704-6. Por favor vean el vídeo al final de este texto donde se explica la misión de la fundación.)
Unos meses atrás, recibí un email de la organización Juntos Construyendo Futuro y Sociedad, en el que me pedían el favor de donar 75 ejemplares de mi libro Física Paso a Paso. En el libro, uso múltiples problemas inspirados en la cultura colombiana, y escribo soluciones muy detalladas de manera que incluso los estudiantes con muy poca formación en ciencia las pueden entender (pueden ver más acerca del libro aquí: http://sites.nd.edu/sebastian-murgueitio/acerca-del-libro/Â ).
Fue un gran honor recibir esta solicitud, después de todo, escribí el libro para ayudarle a estudiantes colombianos que pasan del colegio a la universidad. Les dije entonces que iba a tratar de conseguir el dinero para comprar los 75 libros.
A pesar de ser el autor, no tengo ningún descuento especial y el 90% de las ventas va a la editorial (Ediciones Uniandes). La versión física del libro cuesta 79 dólares, y esa es la versión que ellos necesitan porque sus estudiantes no tendrá celulares ni computadores. Así, necesitamos $ 5925 que corresponde a los 79 libros en Amazon.
Una vez la editorial me pague el 10%, donaré también esa plata a la organización para pagar el transporte y la comida de los profesores.
Las clases comienzan el en la segunda semana de Febrero, así que tenemos un poco más de un mes para conseguir los libros!
