Joseph Delgado Family Fund

UPDATE: It is with great sadness that we report that Joe Delgado passed away on Friday February the 21st at Stanford Medical Center. Tracy Express has decided to keep this fund open, in a small gesture of support to the Delgado family. We have left the original fundraiser information below. We will be posting information here and to our website and newsletter as appropriate.

Joseph 'Joe' Delgado has coached girls through Tracy Express for 20 years. If you had a daughter play for Express, you likely either played with Joe, or against him.
In either case, you always knew you were dealing with a person who loved softball, loved imparting softball knowledge, and who coached with passion and professionalism.
Joe has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer and was scheduled to begin Chemotherapy when he was admitted to Stanford Hospital. As his wife Shelly put it "Originally we thought he would stay the weekend and maybe be discharged to outpatient on Monday, but they still have not set up his first round of chemo - it was supposed to be yesterday afternoon or today. I sure hope it is today! It is hard waiting..."
While Joe's family has not asked us for any assistance, we all know how hard it is to feel lost and helpless. Shelly is currently juggling her daily responsibilities while trying to get over to Stanford on a daily basis. 
We at Tracy Express are grateful for Joe's years of service, from coaching to participating on the Express Board of Directors, and we want to assist them during their challenge.  We know that the young ladies and families who played for him feel the same, and so we are asking your help to raise funds to donate to help his family manage a little easier during this time.
