VoiceUP Creative Writing/Poetry Workshop

My name is Tiffany Reese and I also go by the stage name TruthfullySpeaking. I am a spoken word artist and published author from Fairfield, Al. I was educated in the Fairfield school system.
I began writing at an early age as a way of expressing myself and was very protective of my writing. There were many things that I would share through my pen to the sheets of paper that held my deepest secrets and fears. As I became older, I realized how therapeutic tapping into my imagination and creating an outlet that allowed me complete freedom with my thoughts, feelings, emotion, fears, aspirations, etc., was. I found myself through words.
I have created the VoiceUp Creative Writing/Poetry Workshop to provide an opportunity for the teenagers of the inner city to find the power in their voice and use it to create a positive change within themselves and their community.
I want to host this workshop so that teenagers can learn more about creative writing and poetry as well as improve and enhance their reading, comprehension, and social skills. I want to help them build their confidence and seek out more productive ways to express themselves and nurture their creative abilities. I NEED YOUR HELP. I will need materials for the students....journals, pencils/pens, color pencils, markers, copy paper, etc. Please donate whatever you can to help get this workshop started....the future is waiting!!
