Help Muffin with Surgery

Muffin is a much loved family pet so her family was devastated when she was hit by a car near their home. Due to their dire financial situation, they were forced to consider euthanasia because they could not afford the surgery that Muffin needed.
Their vet contacted ACT Pet Crisis for help with the cost of surgery. Unfortunately it had been a busy start of the year for the fund and the $1500 they needed for surgery was just not available. The vet involved in treating Muffin was happy to wait for payment and has heavily discounted so that we could work together to ensure that Muffin could have her surgery.
ACT Pet Crisis (a local Canberra charity that helps disadvantaged pet owners) started this campaign to help Muffin's family, because we could not bear the thought of NOT helping her. She is a young cat and much loved by her family. She definitely deserves a second chance at life.
Muffin is only 6 years old and is absolutely adored by her owner. Her 'mum' is struggling to make ends meet as it is and has also been supporting her son and his girlfriend until they found work. Times have been so tough lately and many compromises have been made. But when times are already tough, the last thing they needed was to loose their beloved cat.
When Muffin's vet found a very badly fractured leg, surgery became the only option. We are hoping to contribute $1500 toward the vet bill to cover her stabilisation and surgery fees. Combined with the contribution the family can make and the vet's discount, this should be enough to get muffin's bill covered.
