The Front Steps Project Wichita KS

We are currently living in strange times, kids are out of school, many are working from home, business are closed and so many people are avoiding social contacts and keeping their distance. We’re stuck at home, missing friends, family and our community, for many it feels like everything around us has stopped.
We’re all doing our part to stay at home.

Starting today I’m offering to take 5 minute ‘Front Steps Portraits’ of Wichita residents. I will take a couple of hours each day to drive around town and get some super fast images of Wichita families on their front steps.

I will let you know when I’m coming. You can step outside, where I’ll be at least 10 feet away from you on your driveway or street. I’ll take a couple of quick shots and leave again to visit the next family.

After the session, I will email you the digital file of your portrait. In exchange, I’m asking you to make a donation to the Wichita Children’s Home through this GoFundMe campaign.

I’ll be posting the images of the project on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #thefrontstepsproject. Please share the posts and spread the word.

I want to bring us together and highlight our community at a time when we might not see each other. When participating in this project it is also an opportunity for you to help those in need.

To be clear: I will ONLY be taking images outside from at least 10 feet away. The session will be short, on your front porch or in front of your house, just 5 minutes. Don’t overthink this, this is not a get fancy-dressed up and pose session. Wear your pj’s, be mismatched, show your family as you really are now. Be yourself!!
