Help Feed the Horses

In light of the all the loss of income related to NY shutting down business operations due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we are asking for donations to help feed our horses during this uncertain time.

Sky Blue Equestrian Center is run by Stefanie King, who has over 20 years of experience as a riding instructor. She has taught children, adults and has therapy riding programs for special needs clients.

She also runs an EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) therapy program at a Westchester County school which has also been closed down due to COVID-19.  EAGALA is a form of mental health therapy using horses that helps to treat many different client groups including at-risk youth, victims of domestic violence, veterans and PTSD.  She performs this EAGALA therapy by bringing the horses to the school to work with clients.

Her dream of starting her own business came to fruition in 2018. As start up business, Stefanie has also been supplementing her equine operations by working nights at a restaurant.   As of today, with the shut down of the restaurant industry and now having to close down her equine lesson and therapy programs, Stefanie will have lost all sources of income relating to not only supporting herself, but the lesson horses at Sky Blue Equestrian Center.

I know everyone is struggling right now in these uncertain times, but if you can spare a few dollars and help feed the horses, any donation will help make an impact. All donations will be used to feed the horses.
