Beloved friends of Sofreh:
As you may know, Sofreh, like most other restaurants in NYC (and across the country) had to close its doors to help contain the spread of COVID-19. It was gut-wrenching to have to temporarily let my employees, who are like family, go. In order to help ease the temporary loss of work, we've provided every employee with 40 hours of paid sick leave and have encouraged our team to file for unemployment benefits.
However, many are supporting families and since the future of the restaurant industry in NYC is uncertain, we want to do more. I'm launching this fundraiser to ask for your help in supporting them, and I'm personally committed to matching every dollar you contribute.
