Support the Cafe La Maude Family

Dear Friends, Family, and Loyal Guests of Cafe La Maude, 

We are saddened to have had to close our doors and stop service to all of you during this vulnerable time, but we are standing strong and hopeful that we will reopen soon.

In the meantime, we are taking our role in slowing the spread of COVID-19 very seriously by keeping our doors closed until it's safe again and we appreciate each of you who has reached out to us with your positive thoughts.

As you know, we are a small, family-run, local business that has been able to happily serve brunch seven days a week to its neighbors and the city of Philadelphia for over 10 years now - a proud accomplishment that we would not have been able to achieve or succeed in without our incredibly devoted, hard-working staff and our amazing customers. We are all family.

We eat together, we take breaks together, we sometimes debate together, and we serve together. We spend every day together, and in times of need such as this, we must support one another. 

We are asking for your support in helping us take care of our working family - those who have proudly cooked for you and served coffee, eggs, and hummus to you and our beloved community over all these years. With businesses closing, other restaurants shutting down, and social distancing orders put in place, our workers and their own families are forced to stay at home without the ability to earn the wages that they need in order to survive. 

We are personally doing everything in our power to support our staff while being able to say that we will soon reopen our doors to all of you, but without knowing when it will be safe again, we are fearful that we will not be able to provide for our family as the weeks and months pass.

In this volatile time, we understand that everyone needs to make their safety and well-being a top priority, so we ask you to take care of yourselves and to play your part in slowing the spread of this disease first. And for anyone who might be able to spare anything at all, we ask you to kindly donate to our family's fund. 

Your donations will help our staff to keep their homes, keep their families fed, and keep our team together so that we may soon open our doors to you again when all of this settles. 

We wish you good health and happiness through these tough times and we appreciate all you have done and are doing to move us through to the other side of this crisis.
