A lot of people are on the Frontline fighting the battle of COVID-19. My goal is to have funds to buy a select group of people in the community lunch everyday while supporting our local businesses during this time of uncertainty.
I wanted to show my gratitude today, March 30, 2020 by buying lunch for a small group of people at Northside Hospital (Forsyth). It was something we had planned on helping all week this week. After posting, we wanted to help people started commenting of different places they worked at and how they loved the amount of support they were getting. Shortly after, a woman messaged me from Papa John's and mentioned she wanted to help as well. Her helping was her talking to her manager into buying pizzas at half price and also donating 10 pizzas. I posted again that we would need help in trying to feed Northside Hospital (https://www.northside.com/forsyth) and my phone blew up with people wanting to come together and support the community. Within 12 hours we have come together to feed over 900 people in one location. We had over $2,400 in donations for Venmo, Paypal and Zelle. We are creating this gofundme account because we want to start a campaign where we can feed one location per day while we help keep the local shops afloat during this time!
All donations will be noted on a spreadsheet, as well as, each location we visit, the amount of people we feed and the local business that helped as well!
If you own a restaurant and would like to participate, please contact us.
If your business or service organization would like to sponsor a day, please contact us.
If needed, The Walk Ministries, Inc., 501(c)3, is apart of the fundraiser to help with any big donations.
