Masks, PAPRs and Filters for Mid TN Healthcare!

Our Middle TN doctors need our help... and they need it now! Every $1500 buys a new PAPR Respirator System... this campaign has purchased an entire kit already! I'm also scouring the internet to find filters for these masks, surgical masks, and N95s that will help.

Let's help Aaron Moredock, our hospitals throughout Middle TN, and our first responders stay in the fight against COVID.

Here is how this GFM started... 

I became familiar with 3M TR-300/600 PAPR respirators through my roofing business, specifically while researching protective gear to use while spraying silicone. I was surprised to learn that these respirators can be (and are) used in medical settings. You may have seen reports, but medical workers are currently dealing with a shortage of protective gear (PPE). Let's give our doctors the ammo they need to keep fighting... These kits provide excellent filtration, 40 hours of use per filter, and fully-encase the face of the physician.

They cost around $1500 each, and the filters are $40 apiece.  As of March 26th, I was able to purchase four kits and 24 filters that I will donate without any help from GoFundMe. We need more, though—hundreds of kits and thousands of filters.

The batteries last up to 10 hours, the HEPA filters last 40 hours, and the equipment is easy to sanitize. There are a TON of customizable options. They aren't cheap, but they may just save the lives of our physicians and, in turn, the lives of their patients. Let's hope it's not one of us or someone we love...

I'm buying this equipment and masks from any source I find. From Craigslist to OfferUp to eBay to Amazon... and any place in-between.

My story:

My name is Adam Capps. I own ACS Commercial Roofing. While I was looking for a comfortable, OSHA approved respirator for our crews to spray silicone when I came across this 3M respirator. 

Instantly I thought, "this looks like what our doctors need!"

So I called my friends and started asking if they knew a doctor that could use one. Within five minutes I got a text from a friend of mine that knows Aaron Moredock. Aaron was excited at the prospect of having one of these devices, as he works in the ER at St. Thomas West in Nashville.

He told me that as long as I would donate them, that they were not expired and that the filter is approved, they would love to have them. He then recorded the video above and sent it to me today, March 26th. 

I have personally bought 4 of these (including the one you see) and I will be donating them to St. Thomas West. However, there are many, many hospitals in Middle TN that need these. 

ALL FUNDS WILL GO TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF PAPR RESPIRATORS, HEPA FILTERS FOR THE PAPR KITS, BATTERIES, HOODS FOR THE HELMETS AND ANY OTHER NECESSARY ITEM THAT FITS A PAPR KIT. WE WILL ALSO USE THESE FUNDS TO GO TOWARDS SURGICAL MASKS AND N95 MASKS.

These costs may also include shipping and sales tax.

All receipts will be available within 24 hours, upon request. None of this money will be used in any other capacity than to support Middle Tennessee Hospitals with PAPR systems and masks that help protect them in the line of duty.
