Covid-19 Help for Afghanistan

The Coronavirus outbreak has reached Afghanistan, a country with a war-torn health care system that is increasingly facing an ever more severe coronavirus threat amid political chaos.

The Afghan Public Health Ministry estimated that 25.6 million Afghans will be infected and 110,000 Afghans will die from Covid-19 if serious action will not be taken. Only the city of Kabul counts approximately 80.000 children that work on the streets to earn money and bread for themselves or their families. The government of Afghanistan doesn't have enough funds to support the population with food, health care and medical equipment to fight the battle against Covid-19.  It's our responsibility to help our fellow humans in need.

Gulzad Foundation is a non-profit charity that aims to empower the women and the youth in Afghanistan. We have been helping the needy and less fortunate in Afghanistan for over 25 years. Together with our determined staff and volunteers, we prepare packages to help the ones who really need it, in these most difficult times.
 
Many surveys show, over 55% of Afghans’ live below the poverty line. These people live from day to day wages and only from around 2 USD a day. Covid19 will affect the most vulnerable and even force many towards starvation. As the world is going through a pandemic, the countries with the worse economy will suffer the most.

We support the poor by delivering them the following:


Basic Supply Packages*:
- Rice 
- Flour
- Oil
- Tea
- Salt
- Sugar
- Kidney beans
- hand and body soap (2)
- sanitary napkins

* Package contains one package of each product. 

To support Gulzad Foundation reach its goal and help the people in need, Gulzad Group will match the amount we will raise through this initiative.  All the funds raised will be used to help the poor people in Afghanistan to overcome the Covid-19 crisis.
