Improve quality of life for cancer patients

Donation protected
Summary

-       Cancer patients are suffering because they are not informed about beneficial nutritional therapies like Vitamin C

-       Intravenous Vitamin C therapy has been shown to improve quality of life, reduce side effects of standard treatments and improve survival rate. (See Anton’s story) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBMnRmbNMr0).

-       Standard treatment like chemotherapy is extremely ineffective, contributing to survival rate by an average of 2% (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15630849)

-       A large majority of cancer fundraising does not benefit patients but rather benefits those working within the industry (https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/08/07/worst-us-charities.aspx?v=1586669737)

-       Ground-breaking research from Otago University, New Zealand, led by Prof Margreet Vissers, has shown that tumours with higher levels of Vitamin C were less aggressive and slower to grow than ones with lower levels of the vitamin. To further validate these findings, the research team is seeking funding for clinical human trials (https://www.otago.ac.nz/free-radical/donate/index.html)

-       Facebook tells me I have almost 1,000 friends. If each of them donate $10 (at least) then I will reach my goal and help with this life saving work

Why am I foregoing a new surfboard for my birthday this year?

I am not receiving any birthday presents this year as I believe too many cancer patients suffer unnecessarily and die prematurely, because unfortunately they are not informed about nutritional therapies like Vitamin C.

According to the National Cancer Institute, Vitamin C as a sole treatment, or in addition to standard treatments for cancer, has been shown to be safe, improve quality of life and reduce the horrible side effects that go along with standard treatments (National Cancer Institute, 2019)1. If this isn’t reason enough to at least inform patients of this option, it has also been shown to selectively kill cancer cells, leaving healthy cells alone, and improve patient survival rate (Padayatty et al, 2006). 2

This has been known for decades since Dr Linus Pauling, duel Nobel prize winner, and Dr Ewan Cameron treated 100 cancer patients using high dose intravenous Vitamin C. These patients lived on average 4 times longer than those in a control group. (National Academy of Sciences, 1976). 3

“It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails admit it frankly and try another” - Franklin D. Roosevelt

According to the National Institutes of Health, the effectiveness of Chemotherapy contributing to survival rate is an average of 2% with many cancers being 0% (National Institutes of Health, 2004). 4 Yet after decades of fundraising and billions of dollars being fed into the cancer industry, we are still using the same ineffective and extremely taxing treatments. So where is all the money going?

Unfortunately, this money is not going to those in need and people, lots of people, are profiting from it. In fact, more people “live” off cancer then “die” from it. Take the “Cancer Fund of America” for example. A whopping 0.9% of their millions of dollars raised is spent on “direct cash aid” or goes to those who need it. This is not an isolated charity with 4 of the top ten worst charities in the world being directly related to cancer (mercola.com, 2013). 5

How will this fundraiser help?

If you have read this far, then I’m sure you agree that something needs to change! My hope is that at the very least, cancer patients become aware of Vitamin C as a possible treatment or as an additional treatment to standard care. Even if only one person reads this and adds it to their treatment protocol and enjoys better quality of life, and maybe even a longer life, then this will be worth it.

Ultimately, I would love to see our small (or large) contribution to “The Vitamin C for Cancer Trust” assist Prof Vissers and her team in performing clinical human trials that are NOT funded by industry or private enterprise with financial bias and conflicts of interest. You can read more about her research here (https://www.otago.ac.nz/free-radical/donate/index.html). Contributing financially will allow this life-changing truth to come out in a scientific way that will give further legitimacy to this treatment option.

Thank you in advance for those who will be contributing to such a worthy cause, and if you feel so inclined, I’d ask you to share this opportunity with friends and family.

Josh
