The #musicforminds Challenge

The #musicforminds Challenge is simple: 

1.  Share a song that helped you through something. Share it any way you like - you can simply share a link to the song or the single artwork, or you could perform your own version, illustrate it, dance to it, share a photo you associate with it - get creative!

2. Tell the story. Tell us why, where and when this song helped you. 

3. Donations & Nominations! Encourage your audience to donate via the GoFundMe link  (gf.me/u/xxi44i) and nominate three people to take part. There's information below which you could share about why we're using music to raise money for Mind charity. Add the hashtag #musicforminds so people can see more of the great thing you're a part of! 

We’ve been thinking a lot about how the Coronavirus pandemic might be affecting people’s mental health and about all of those people who might be struggling to stay afloat at the best of times, never mind when life throws us the absolute worst.

It's more important than ever that we support the great work of mental health charities like Mind, not only because of the invaluable support they provide for people in times of crisis, but the work they do lobbying government to fight for a world where each and every person who needs support can recieve it, which may be more crucial than ever in the coming months and years.  At a time when Mind are losing vital income due to the closing of their shops and a lack of other fundraising streams, the #musicforminds challenge is a chance to help them out and to support their vital work.

Like many I'm sure, we're leaning on the powers of music a lot in these tough times. Music is magic, not only in it's ability to heal things that hurt, but also to connect us to others. Let's see how far we can spread this!
