Help Jason Not Fall Through the Cracks

Donation protected

Hi.  Ok.  It feels a little strange to do this, and I have no expectations.

I'm over 200K in student loan debt.  My full-time job ended at the close of 2018.  Between draining retirement, miscalculating ACA, and other items, 2019 was really rough.  I'll owe a lot in taxes.

I should say right up front that my friends and family helped me a lot, and that I'm enormously grateful.  If it weren't for them, it'd be bad, really bad.

I've landed on my feet as a graduate student at the University at Buffalo.  I'm lucky because I have health insurance and a steady, if extremely modest, income.  I can't say this enough: even living precariously, I'm one of the lucky ones in this broken country.

It turns my rental situation is... not good.  Negligent landlord.  Moth infestation.  I can't continue to live here.  It's untenable.

I will soon move again, incurring expenses, drawing on credit cards, potentially going deep into the hole again.  For those of you who understand being in debt while earning little, you know that this is a cycle that intensifies over time.  The results are not pretty.

Frankly, someone should set up a gofundme for the World Health Organization.  That would be important.  My stakes are quite low, relatively speaking.  If you've read this far, and still want to help, I will be forever appreciative.  The $1000 base amount is meant to stem some of the financial bleeding.  I would be shocked if it gets there.  I could use a lot more help, but it doesn't quite seem right to ask for any more than that.  I'm not alone in these troubles; I'm humbled in the ask.  Thank you.
