We are a group of friends and neighbours in a very rural part of South West Herefordshire near the Black Mountains.
Having heard about the work of Hackney Wick and other volunteer groups making PPE for frontline workers, we were inspired to set up our own group. A local consultant has told us:
"Gowns, face masks and scrubs are all on our critical list although no actual absence of them yet. They could make scrubs regardless of material in any case as their use has mushroomed. "
Different sectors of the NHS and care homes will have different needs and we are hoping to respond flexibly to their requests. In this way we are hoping to make their lives slightly easier and less stressful.
We are asking for a donation for each uniform or item of PPE to cover material and delivery.
Any additional funds will be donated to the NHS.
