The name says it all. Usually these guys transfer blood and during this CORONAVIRUS nightmare they are putting themselves at great risk getting NHS staff to their shifts and some patients who wouldn’t survive without them. I am 1 of those people! I have 2 kinds of Lymphoma! Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma and Follicular Lymphoma grade 3B which means it’s in all the cells in my blood. I’ve gone through chemo and the non Hodgkin’s lymphoma seems to be clear. The original plan was chemo then every 2 months for 2 years I’d need an injection called Ritixumab. Because it’s in all my cells it’s incurable however it can usually be treated every time it comes back. However the data for the Ritixumab showed it wasn’t achieving its goal so now I need to have radiotherapy. Where I live I’d need to do a 30-40 minute bus journey then a train during the Coronavirus nightmare which would probably kill me with no immune system. Someone spotted a post I put up and I was contacted from Lifesavers Scotland to say they’d take me to and from my radiotherapy sessions. Right now the plan is to do 11 sessions over 2 weeks but a scan on 22nd of April May show I need 3 weeks of treatments.
I am eternally grateful for these guys and don’t know what I’d do without them so I want to try and raise as much money for them as I can because they are non-profit and survive off donations from the public.

I know these are hard times and people will be struggling but even if you can donate 50p it’s still 50p more than they have.

thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for any help you can give
