Are you one who cares?
Imagine not having access to the internet or not knowing what information to trust. As things are moving quickly and local information about changes to community services is being shared on websites and social media, many seniors are left struggling to find information to help them stay safe at home.
At this time seniors and their caregivers need trustworthy information more than ever. We know who to trust and we have complied a 16-page COVID-19 special edition from reliable community resources to help you stay well, stay safe and stay home. We know that some of us don’t have access to the internet, so we have included many phone numbers to call for more information where applicable.
This magazine is normally funded on a cost recovery basis through advertising sales. However, with so many businesses closed due to the pandemic, we have decided to publish this edition with minimal advertising support, but there is a large funding shortfall. All revenue goes directly back into printing and distributing more copies at no cost to seniors and caregivers.
This edition costs roughly $8,000 to print and distribute 15,000 copies through local newspapers so people can stay at home and the information comes to them. Design and printing cost approximately $7,000 and distribution costs around $800.
I am hopeful that people such as yourself will see the need and want to help with a financial donation to show you are one who cares too.
Printed and digital copies of the magazine Who Cares are always free and You can download a digital copy here and please share it with anyone who might benefit from the information.

Over the past seven editions, the magazine Who Cares has distributed more than 110,000 free copies to seniors and their caregivers. One out of every three people in Ontario is an unpaid caregiver to family member, friend, or someone they know.
