Save Indian Acres
Hello!
We are a family-owned, private membership Swim Club and Day Camp in Champaign, IL. We are entering into our 61st summer in the C-U Community and we are an iconic and treasured landmark for generations of families. We have approximately 86 employees, majority of them are youth. This is the first job many of our employees have and we get to watch them grow from campers in our programs to counselors, lifeguards, pool managers, and more. It is truly a family here at IA.
Each year, we give 20% of our profit to our local community nonprofit organizations in schools. We believe in supporting our community, and in turn, our community supports us. We are asking for your support and generosity at this time.
We are family. During crises, family turns to each other. Realistically, we are in a tight situation due to COVID-19. If you are able and willing, please consider donating to IA to see us through this hard time. This will allow IA to open next year in the event that we have a failed season. We are only asking because each year's registrations fund our business that year. The small profit remaining at the end of each summer goes into sustaining the club in the off season.
We are asking for $40,000 as this is approximately the base off-season cost of keeping IA bills paid so that we can open next year, in the worst-case scenario that we do not open this year. Anything above our base $40,000 to keep us afloat, we would be able to allocate funds to our leadership positions to retain our current staff for a stronger start to summer 2021.
Please consider donating if you are able, as we fervently work to keep this C-U community treasure open for future generations of families.
Sincerely,
Lauren & Joel Morenz
