Hallo!

Vielen herzlichen Dank!

Diana

Hello!

My name is Diana Ezerex, 26 years old. I am a singer & songwriter from Germany, singing pop, hip-hop, soul music.
My music is not only a tool to express myself, a way to relax & a big part of who I am. For me, music is a tool I want to use to change the world. I want to make a change with the art I create, I want to make use of my creativity to raise awareness for those who can't be heard, who can't speak for themselves. I want to make sure I make a change with my music.

That's why I started playing charity concerts in prisons all over Germany three years ago.

In March this year I was inspired to write an album about the stories of inmates. Their past, present & future and perspective.
About what they went through and what led them to who and where they are to day.
About how they grew up, what their upbringing was like.
What kind of opportunities they had and which they didn't.
What kind of reasons there are to be violent.
About why children don't learn how to solve problems without the use of violence.
About mental health, depression & suicide
And also about hope. About looking forward.
Fighting for what you want and for what you love.
And changing your life for the better.

That's is what the album is about.

Goals
With this album I want to make the stories I heard in prisons accessible on the "outside". I want people to consider, what we can change in society to avoid people having to go to prison. Studies  show, that about 75% of the men and 100% of the women who are incarnated have experienced trauma (Source: Compassion Prison Project). So I want that to be considered when we quickly judge the things that have been done in the past.
Don't get me wrong, violence, abuse, etc. are terrible and it is important that we find ways to on the one hand protect our society and on the other punish.
But: we can do something about these things happening in the first place. And that's what I want to raise awareness for with this album.

Also, the album is the fundament of a bigger project. I want to write a book, containing the lyrics & the background stories, offer workshops for teenagers as a violence prevention program, have a theatre performance & short films about the stories that are told on the album.

Funding/ Expenses
Recording & producing an album is very expensive. The team I am working with is top notch, they are crazy talented and I want to pay them well.
Therefore, I would use of the money to pay
- my producer
- the sound engineers
- the musicians who played the instruments
- the design of the cover (Fotoshootings & design)
- the pressing of CD and Vinyl
- for the promotional work to share the album across the world
- shooting of music videos
- etc.

As I want to pay my team as soon as possible, it would be amazing, if the money could be raised this month (December). That would be absolutely amazing!

Thank you!
I love paying at least what people "deserve" (minimum what we agreed on :D), but I like showing appreciation also with how I pay people that work for me.
So it would be absolutely amazing if YOU would help me make that wish come true.
Thank you so much for even considering to support this project!
You are a real game changer, so thank you so much!

Love,
Diana
