Support Psychedelics Madness Awakening Conference

Dear friends, family, and members of the mad, psychedelic, and psychiatric survivor communities:
We are reaching out to seek your help to collect funds for a volunteer-run digital conference entitled Psychedelics, Madness & Awakening: Harm Reduction and Future Visions. The funds we are raising in this campaign will be dedicated to a) captioning of pre-recorded video presentations, b) honorariums for our speakers and volunteer support team, and c) website-related costs.
The conference is devoted to exploring and re-thinking the complex and contentious relationships between:
1) experiences produced by psychedelics, entheogens and plant medicines,
2) experiences that are labeled as psychosis or madness, and
3) experiences of awakening or spiritual growth.
We are especially highlighting the voices and experiences of those who identify as survivors of psychiatric violence, and we are creating a conversation to envision harm reduction alternatives to forced institutionalization or diagnoses of "madness."
Our events begin January 30, 2021 and will continue over multiple weekends through April 2021. Read more about the conference format here and view the conference schedule here .
Access to the conference presentations is entirely donation based, with a suggested donation of $5-10 per event or $75-150 for the entire series of approximately 15 events.
Your support will allow us to keep the conference accessible and inclusive; donated funds will be allocated in the following ways:
a) $4000 for captioning of 40 hours of video by a team of four volunteers, who will each receive $1000 honorariums;
b) $10,500 for small honorariums for our 50+ speakers, moderators and volunteer support team, including peer listening support for audience members;
c) $500 for website-related costs.
