Help The Forgotten Ones Get Their Smiles Back

Tax deductible
The Story
Imagine not being able to smile. This is how Suezy feels on a daily basis. For the past year, she has been searching frantically for a dentist that would take her Medi-Cal insurance, but was denied every time. “My teeth are in poor condition. I have a big beautiful smile, but it was affected. I wasn’t getting help from anywhere. I didn’t have the resources nor the money,” says Suezy.

Only free or low-cost clinics can help people like Suezy, but these clinics are routinely deprived of resources and COVID-19 has exacerbated their struggles. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the demand for their services has risen, while the cost of personal protective equipment (PPE) has increased astronomically. The inability to access necessary supplies is forcing many of these clinics to risk closure, which would leave vulnerable populations with even less care.

“We’re living day by day, unsure when we will run out of supplies. The only other nonprofit clinic in our area is fully booked out for a year and not taking any patients. People have nowhere else to go, so parents have been calling and begging us to see their kids. The need is higher than ever, but we cannot get the supplies that we need with our small budget.” says Dr. Loretta Lam, a dentist at Well Child Dental Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides care to the underserved. Since Dr. Loretta Lam’s office reopened this year, they have been fighting to stay afloat.

The Mission
We are on a mission to raise money for free clinics across California.

Who are we?
Dr. Kevin M Kenny Foundation and ASDA District 11 are partnering to raise money for this cause.

Dr. Kevin M Kenny Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides continuing education courses to dentists. All the funds raised by the organization are donated to providing medical and dental care to underserved populations and supporting humanitarian mission trips. In the past four years, the nonprofit has donated more than $135,000.

ASDA District 11 represents all six dental schools in California.

Your Donation
During a time of need, we can make a difference by coming together to help those affected. Donate today and help us raise $10,000 for free clinics across California. Your donation will be used to purchase PPE and other supplies that the clinics need to provide care during this unprecedented time. Thank you in advance for contributing to a cause that will help more people like Suezy get the care they deserve. #smilesforall
