Blantyre To Lilongwe Walk For Tourism

A team of 10 walkers will depart Blantyre on the morning of Saturday, 21st November 2020, arriving in Lilongwe mid-afternoon on Monday, 30th November 2020. We intend to complete 313km in 10 days, and in the process, raise money amounting to K 7,000,000.00 for the training and certification of informal Tour Guides in Malawi's tourism hotspots.
WHY?
Almost all the tour guides you find in places like Cape Maclear, Zomba Plateau and Mount Mulanje use their amazing local knowledge to do their job, and what they lack is proper guide training and certification to ADD VALUE TO TO MALAWI TOURISM EXPERIENCE.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Individuals can either join and walk with us, upon satisfaction of fitness requirements, or you can simply send us any amount to the below details.
Businesses and companies can sponsor a walker, or sponsor a full day or indeed the event in exchange of publicity of your brand before and during the event days. Non-cash donations are also welcome, like kits and walking shoes, water and many other items. Get in touch and we can discuss.
