Save Djaki Kundu (AKA the 'Gympie Pyramid').

Donation protected
Djaki Kundu (Rocky Ridge in English), also referred to as 'the Gympie Pyramid' is threatened with destruction by government authorities, for a highway upgrade. The Kabi guardians of Djaki Kundu are appealing for urgent help to save an important piece of ancient history, that is of benefit to many people. We ask you to please help us raise $30,000 which is the estimated cost (quoted by an experienced native title lawyer) for obtaining an urgent legal injunction to stop the destruction. We will be taking whatever legal action is necessary to prevent the further desecration and destruction of the site.

Djaki Kundu is an ancient and sacred healing site, connected to the Seven Sisters dreaming song-lines and stories, and a place to commune with the Star Ancestors.  Djaki Kundu is situated in Bunya Country near Gympie, in what is now called Queensland, Australia. Many people from all over the world visit here, and many claim they have been healed.

Kabi Elders and guardians of the site have inherited a religious and spiritual Djakurpa tribal Law responsibility to protect the sacred site, which was built thousands of years ago by Kabi Ancestors.

Kabi tribal Elders are distressed that Queensland government authorities plan to destroy most of the site and it's ancient sacred relics in order to upgrade a highway, despite the fact Australian Laws make it illegal to destroy 'Aboriginal cultural heritage' or 'Aboriginal relics'. A Kabi tribal guardian was recently charged with trespass while engaging in spiritual practice at Djaki Kundu.

Djaki Kundu should rewrite the official version of the ancient history of the 'Australian' continent, as it is proof written in stone that the first nation peoples of this land were not lawless, uncivilized nomads, but had a sophisticated culture, and built large permanent stone structures. You can learn more on our Kabi.Dreaming  facebook page.

UPDATE: Aas of 28th December 2019. Photos of desecration and damage to the sacred standing stones, by TMR contractors and agents, have been posted on our Kabi.Dreaming facebook page. Extra funds for assistance with legal action are needed URGENTLY.

Thank you for your help.
