Donations to homeless community in Durango, CO

Hello, my name is Nicholas Gilmore. I am a senior at Animas High School. I have formed a group with multiple Animas students to donate money and supplies to the Community Compassion Outreach. This means blankets, water, tents, food, and bottled water will go directly to the local homeless community. This will help combat the inequality of safety that is so abundant in our town. By contributing to this GoFundMe, you will help make sure everyone has protection against the upcoming winter, regardless of socio-economic stance.

The reason we are doing this is that we believe in a society that is just for anyone. Nobody should be stripped from adequate supplies for survival, let alone during a global pandemic.

A common question goes along the line of "why donate to the GoFundMe when I can just donate to the organization myself?" To answer that question, the majority of the money will be spent on supplies mentioned earlier, with the rest being sent directly to the organization. You also don't have to feel guilty for putting in a small amount of money, as it will all be a part of one giant donation. Along with this, you won't have to buy the supplies for the organization to donate, as we will buy them for you.

Either way, you can be sure that every penny will be spent helping to fix this issue.





At this moment, Community Compassion outreach contacted us and gave our team a list of  items for us to donate.  This list is from biggest priority (top of the list) to lowest priority (bottom of the list):
