Random Acts of Deliciousness

This Thanksgiving, there’s a  whole new meaning to “giving thanks.” I know that everyone in the Seacoast Eats community has a big heart and  I would like to ask for your help with a project that will help others in the community.

Random Acts of Deliciousness is Seacoast Eats’ first fundraising project. Inspired by an idea from Seacoast’s Corey MacDonald, it’s a way to help families enjoy holiday meals they might not be able to afford right now.

Our first goal is to raise funds to get Thanksgiving dinners to local families and we have only five days to do so.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Nominate local families you know who need help this holiday. Maybe it is even you?

2. Help raise the money to make this possible for those families to have a Thanksgiving that would otherwise not have happened without the kindness of others.

Please, nominate, donate & share with your friends and family.

How to Nominate a Local Family for Thanksgiving Dinner

Feel free to nominate your own family if you are having a tough time. We will do our best to give a meal to all the local families who are nominated. If we have more nominations than we can fulfill, names will be picked at random.

You can nominate a local family by clicking here . Nominations will end at 11:59 on November 20th, 2020.

How to Donate to the Fundraiser

The Goal is to raise $10,000.00. This will give us the ability to feed  up to 50 families nominated by you. (Full details of dinner listed below) If 2,000 members donated only $5.00 we can meet our goal.

You can donate to Seacoast Eats Random Acts of Deliciousness by clicking here . Donations will end at 11:59 on November 20th, 2020.

Thanksgiving is almost here. Time is of the essence, so please act fast. After Thanksgiving we will continue the Random Acts of Deliciousness project by getting treats and then holiday dinners to your nominees as the holiday season goes on.

The Seacoast Eats community shows how much they care daily and I know that even with the bliss of my  innocence,  I can make this happen. There is only one way I have the confidence this will be successful. It is because of all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing the world what it means to be a good human being.

About the Thanksgiving Dinner:

I have reached out to McKinnon’s in Portsmouth, NH to ensure we can meet the needs of what hopes to be a popular request. Curbside pick is available for nominated families. If families need delivery, we will do our best to accommodate.

One of the best parts about Thanksgiving is the leftovers! Each local family will get a Fully Cooked Ready to Reheat Thanksgiving Dinner. It will feed 8-10 people and included the following:

18-20 LBS Oven-roasted Whole Turkey

Mashed Potatoes

Bread Stuffing

Turkey Gravy

Butternut Squash

Sweet Corn

Sweet Peas

Cranberry Sauce

1 dozen Dinner Rolls

Choice of a 10” Apple
