The Heart of our Studio, our glassblowing furnace

Three Dimensional Visions glassblowinghouston is the greater Houston area's only open access glassblowing studio.  Like everyone else, we have had a difficult time since covid hit.  Most of our income came from experiences, events,  and teaching classes which we felt was not in the public's interest to continue with the high rate of infection in our area.  We are trying hard to subsidize that income with sales.  This past week our furnace pot cracked and leaked about 200 pounds of glass into its base.  We emptied the pot, raked out the rest, and then brought the furnace down.  The base of the furnace had to be replaced which means taking everything apart.  As we did that we noticed a number of issues with our first furnace design and are now designing a new furnace for our rebuild.  A rough estimate for the materials is $10,000.  If everyone would just contribute a little we could make our goal.  Then hopefully when we get the furnace back up, and a vaccine is here we can all start our recovery.  Anything you can contribute will help.  Thanks so much for your consideration.
