"Dance Hall Days": Last Call Fundraiser!

It's time to open the doors on "Dance Hall Days" and let everyone in for a spin!
Thank you for following this documentary project for the past few years. You might have seen "Dance Hall Days" in one of the select film festivals it has shown at, or at one of our special dance hall screenings. And perhaps you're planning on watching it on KERA PBS up in DFW, its first and only made-for-television premiere. Each screening has been different, and a few versions of the film have been presented. Now, a final version has been cut and we are almost ready to unleash this film for download and DVD purchase.
But first, a little housekeeping. We have to raise a few dollars for what they call "finishing funds," or, final touch ups that will stick with the film for the rest of time.
What's this film need? Well, here's a short list:
• Color correction. It's where some hired professionals go into the film and match all of the frames, blend some colors, and make it look great.
• Sound mixing. More professionals come in and make it sound "even." Songs are tweaked, sounds that don't fit are deleted, things are streamlined and it will just sound better.
• DVD printing and pressing, getting a final copy ready for purchase.
I'll be bugging you for the next few weeks, trying to get to our $10,005 goal. Along the way you'll get a few teasers, a few deleted scenes, and hopefully a lot of heart. These dance halls are a big deal to Texas, and we want to be able to show this picture to anyone, anywhere in the world (looking especially at you, Australian two-steppers).
